From our view, the local property market has seen the return of the pre Christmas trend with a lot of buyers wanting to secure a property before the Festive period sets in. Properties that are priced well are certainly shifting with good interest in Walton on Thames from applicants moving from the surrounding areas and North of the River. We have also noticed that applicants are being a lot more selective of properties they choose to view.
Our observation is that well priced properties are being agreed, although properties with ambitious prices are growing stagnant on the portals. However, the overall viewing levels have risen. For example we had two properties on Dunsmore Road that, as a result of the referendum, lost both their buyers. Following this, we worked hard with vendors with regards to marketing strategy moving forward ( Photos, Premium Listings on portals, etc.) and followed to on to agree both properties shortly after, at very strong prices.
