Where Is It?

Where is it iconThe Halfway is the southern side of Walton on Thames close to the Rydens areas with easy access to the  town centre  and Walton on Thames Mainline station.

What Does It Feel Like?

What does it feel like iconThe area is well served by a selection of shops locally known as ‘The Halfway’ which includes a number of small shops and services, including a bakers, convenience stores, a pharmacy, dry cleaners, hairdressers, camping shop and several fast food establishments. It is also host to several first-rate restaurants such as the modern and stylish Spanish Tapas Bar and Restaurant ‘La Terraza’ and the Ashley Park Hotel serving traditional pub food. Sports fans can enjoy Walton and Hersham FC playing at the Sports Ground, adjacent to the Stompond Lane Tennis and Athletics Club.

The Housing?

housing iconThe southern side of Walton offers excellent residential housing and amenities, including some fantastic family homes in the Rydens area and off the Hersham road as well as properties in a private estate which has some highly sought-after bungalows. Private residential roads with larger detached properties can be found within the prestigious Ashley Park Private Estate. The south Walton area also offers a mix of high quality apartments which is very popular with buy to let investors. The area has a broad spectrum of properties from different eras, all within walking distance of the Walton-on-Thames station which provides mainline links to London Waterloo and to the south-west.

Getting Around?

Getting around iconThere is a local bus service which takes you to neighbouring towns such as Hersham, Weybridge, Esher, East & West Molesey, Hampton Court, Kingston upon Thames, Shepperton and Staines. Walton on Thames mainline station provides a fast link to Waterloo and is approximately a 30 minute car journey to London Heathrow. The M3 and M25 Motorways are easy accessible.

Schools?

Schools iconThe area provides a selection of first class schools including Bell Farm, Ashley Church of England Primary School, Cleves Primary School, Cardinal Newman RC,  Rydens Enterprise School together with some fine churches, such as the historical St Mary’s and the more contemporary St Erconwald’s.

Other good schools in the area are Grovelands, Walton Oak and Thamesmead.
